Help your child learn to manage anger in a calm and healthy way.

📖 Read the story: →  Big Feelings, Little Me: Anger

Anger is a normal feeling, and every child can learn to handle it. Kai learns that pausing, breathing, and using his words can help when big feelings take over.

What Kids Learn

  • Recognizing the signs of anger in their body
  • Calming their bodies down
  • Using words to talk about feelings

Parent Questions

  • What made Kai feel angry?
  • What did Kai do to calm down?
  • What helps you feel better when you’re upset?

Activity
Practice the “Belly Breath” together: hand on tummy, breathe in through the nose like smelling a flower, and out through the mouth like blowing out a candle. Practicing when calm makes it easier to use when big feelings show up.

Just like Kai, children can learn that anger is okay, and that words help. Read Big Feelings, Little Me: Anger together, with the printable storybook and the animated video, and practice calm ways to handle big feelings.
